They start with meat, fish or fowl that you are cooking already, then provide the framework for feeding your vegetarian too.

Malt-O-Meal is an often-overlooked hot cereal that children love. It now even comes in flavors. Cook it according to package directions, put butter or dairy-free spread—and maybe a little extra sugar—on it and watch them dig in. For your hungrier non-vegan folks, add some eggs and bacon. Serve with toast, jams and jellies on the side.
